Seed Hawk Grand Opening October 3rd, 2011

Seed Hawk Inc was established in 1992 to develop low-disturbance precision seeding systems. They operate from their recently
expanded 100,000
square foot facility located approximately two miles north of Langbank, SK.

Pat Beaujot, now the President of Seed Hawk, is a professional agronomist with a passion for sustainable farming practices who
saw that there was
little equipment available on the market to meet the demands of innovative farming techniques. With the
purchase of the family farm in 1986, and
after several prototypes, Seed Hawk began production on a very small scale in 1992,
selling six units in their first year.

Around the same time, Canadian prairie farmers began rapidly adopting direct seeding practices as sustainable farming practices
gained popularity.

Nearly 20 years later, Seed Hawk is an international presence in zero tillage seeding systems, selling equipment around the globe
to innovative and
forward thinking farmers with a similar passion for sustainability.

Pat’s influence also extends to the practicality and the demands of today’s modern farmer. Research and Development is a key
to Seed Hawk’s success,
and a significant amount of profits are reinvested into product innovation annually. Seed Hawk’s unique
toolbar design is durable, economical and, most
notably, highly innovative. Each opener assembly operates independently, allowing
for superior depth accuracy and precise fertilizer placement that
leads to quick, uniform germination with minimal soil disturbance.
They offer toolbars to suit any operation, from the new 45 Series designed for easy
transport on narrow roads to the 84’ toolbar
in the XL series, comfortably capable of seeding up to 1000 acres per day.

The marriage of current technology to Seed Hawk’s innovative equipment designs has also been a key to their success. Their
industry leading Sectional
Control® (SCT®) and Seed Between the Rows™ (SBR™) technologies are grower-focused innovations
exemplifying their commitment to the agricultural
community.

In 2008, Seed Hawk’s 84’ toolbar and Model 400 air tank won AE50 awards for excellence in agricultural engineering from the
American Society of
Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE). The same year, SCT won an Ag Innovation award from Agri-Trade.

Seed Hawk has had a lot to celebrate along the way. Väderstad-Verken AB, one of Europe’s largest agricultural equipment
manufacturers, instantly
saw the opportunity with the rural Saskatchewan company. Success in North America was extended to the
global stage with Väderstad’s investment
in the firm as a minority shareholder. The partnership has accelerated product innovation, a
passion which both firms share equally.

Seed Hawk’s innovative designs are available in Western Europe, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Africa and the United States.
In 2008, they
were awarded the ABEX Award for Export as international sales vaulted from less than $500,000 to over $6 million.
Now coupled with a newly minted
Australian importer, Landpower Australia Pty, the stage is set for another growth phase in exports.

For Seed Hawk, the partnership will allow them to fulfill their mission of providing the most grower profitable seeding solutions for
the global market.
For Pat, the future will be rooted in the same passionate values of the past: sustainable farming, grower focus and
an ongoing commitment to
precision, innovation and quality.
